Workbook help
A practical guide to starting the workbook, keeping access and understanding what stays private.
First time here?
Open My Daily Questions and choose a name and a vault passphrase of at least 12 characters. Use a passphrase you do not use elsewhere.
Save the recovery key somewhere private and separate from this device. It is your alternative way to unlock the encrypted workbook—not something to send to Telos.
Score each question from 0 to 10 for your effort since you last scored yourself. A low honest score still completes the practice. Notes and a Microgoal are optional.
Returning to your workbook
Email verification gives access to an encrypted backup. Your vault passphrase or recovery key unlocks its contents.
Use the same browser and open My Daily Questions. Unlock the workbook with your vault passphrase. Avoid private-browsing sessions for records you want to keep.
It connects an encrypted online copy to an email address you verify with a one-time code. The entries are encrypted in your browser before upload. Your scores and notes are not sent to your email inbox; email is used for sign-in codes.
If you connected backup, choose “Sign in to an existing workbook”, verify your email using the code, then unlock with your vault passphrase. Alternatively, use “Export encrypted backup” on your original device and “Restore encrypted backup” on the new one.
Check the address you entered and your spam folder. Codes expire after 15 minutes. Request a new code if needed; if you are asked to wait, give it a few minutes before retrying.
Use your recovery key to unlock an available encrypted copy. An email sign-in code cannot decrypt it. If you lose both your passphrase and recovery key, Telos cannot unlock your entries for you.
Without a connected online backup or an exported encrypted backup, the local workbook may be lost. Keep a backup and your recovery key before clearing site data or changing devices.
Use one device at a time and let it finish backing up before switching. If the workbook warns that a newer copy exists, do not overwrite it. Return to the most recently used device or sign in again to retrieve the newer copy.
Privacy in plain English
The workbook encrypts entries on your device. When you connect backup, the service stores an encrypted copy, email address and access/security information—not readable scores or notes. The website is not anonymous.
Keep your device, browser, passphrase and recovery key secure. Encryption cannot protect an unlocked screen or a readable file you choose to export.
Read the workbook privacy information →If you speak an answer to a human caller or group, those people can hear it. A paid call must have its own agreed privacy and recording arrangements. It does not grant the caller access to your encrypted workbook.
Telos support will never ask for your passphrase, recovery key or readable workbook export.
Common questions
No. The six Daily Questions, basic graphs and history remain free. The introductory progress counter is not a subscription expiry. Paid courses and support are optional.
No. Daily Questions score effort from 0 to 10. A Microgoal tick simply records whether you completed the one tiny action. Initially do only that action, then stop.
No. A short note is optional if you want context for a change in your scores. Emotion Download is a separate optional course exercise, not daily homework.
Email hello@teloshealth.co.uk from your connected address for an online-backup deletion request or access help. Do not send entries, passphrases or keys. Signing out does not delete an online backup, and clearing browser data removes only your local copy.
